Libertyville Independence Grove Summer Wedding – Leon + Kara

The playful couple is having lots of fun on their wedding day.

You might remember these two from their engagement session last year. After working with Kara and Leon, I couldn’t wait to be a part of their wedding! Both ceremony and reception took place at Independence Grove and, let me tell you, it was a scorcher! Kara is now a dentist, having graduated school a few weeks before the wedding. Leon works in Chicago for an insurance company. His family is from Hong Kong, so I was able to speak Cantonese with them throughout the night! I loved all the couple’s personal touches throughout their wedding, like a Star Wars-themed reception entrance and a s’mores bar! Leon also belongs to a band, and at the end of the night him and his bandmates hopped on stage to perform for the guests. The night ended with lots of dancing, and the newlyweds said goodbye to their guests through a tunnel of sparklers! Here’s to a lifetime of happiness, Kara and Leon!Kara and Leon getting ready to become man and wife! Here are some of the wedding day details. Kara wore this gorgeous belt to jazz up her dress! The bride's bouquet was simply stunning! It was easy to see the special bond Kara has with each and every one of her bridesmaids. And that goes the same for Leon and his groomsmen! We lucked out with a beautiful day for a wedding! It may have been hot, but everyone in the wedding party had great attitudes! There was no shortage of great shots from their wedding. Independence Grove is always beautiful in the summer time. Whether you were laughing or crying, everyone was feeling emotions of pure joy and happiness! The bride and groom entered into the reception to the tune of Star Wars! I loved that it showed their playful side! Mr. Right and Mrs. Alway Right...these champagne flutes made me laughing! The maid of honor made us cry and the best man made us laugh..the perfect combo! Time to cut the cake! And as if we didn't have enough sweets, guests were able to roast their own marshmallows and make s'mores! The bride jamming out to her new husband's band! The guests were no strangers to the dance floor! No one wanted to leave at the end of the night! And with that, Kara and Leon's day came to an end. We said goodbye to the couple as they walked through a tunnel of sparklers!
