Chicago Wedding at The Hampton Inn and Chicago’s Fair Lady – Sam + Martina

Is there anything more fun than an intimate, river boat wedding amid the Chicago high-rises? Come aboard Sam and Martina’s destination wedding on August 1st, on the Chicago’s Fair Lady, with their friends and family members traveling from all over the country to join them. Considering how much Sam and Martina love traveling, I thought it only appropriate that all of their bridesmaids were from a different city! The theme of the day was all things boat related, with even the bridesmaids wearing nautical flip-flops that had been handmade by Sam! The bridal party got ready at The Hampton Inn off Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, after which we meandered down towards the river and all around the loop getting some beautiful – and hilarious! – portraits. My favorite was when the entire bridal party decided they wanted to pose on a rack of parked Divvy bikes. You know you’re in for a fun day, when that’s the kind of bridal party you’re working with! After photos, everyone convened at Chicago’s Fair Lady, a flat topped river boat. Just after nightfall and surrounded by the glittering, twinkling city lights, Sam and Martina exchanged vows on the top deck. Afterwards, they celebrated with cake and food, then watched the fireworks go off on Navy Pier. Such a perfect summer wedding!
