Seeing families come together and become one is such a beautiful part of being a wedding photographer! Dana and David celebrated their marriage in Chicago last fall. The couple included David's two daughters into the big day in many different ways, from having them help with the sand ceremony to participating in the cake cutting during the reception. The bridal party got ready at the Hotel Lincoln, with Dana actually multitasking by working on her laptop and getting ready at the same time. Afterwards, she and David had their first look right in front of the Adler Planetarium. It's so fun to witness a bride and groom seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day, away from the chaos of guests. Dana and David took this time to exchange gifts. Dana's gift from David was a series of cards and, at the very bottom of the box, a picture of an expresso machine, which gave them both a good laugh! After taking pictures of the entire bridal party by the lake front, we then traveled to Lincoln Park for more photographs by the South Pond. The ceremony took place at sunset in Cafe Brauer, with an absolutely gorgeous reception following.
